In 2024 Oregon DOR claims data, $5.1M of the $55M AEOTC cap was claimed.
The Agricultural Employer Overtime Tax Credit (ORS 315.133) reimburses 15-100% of your overtime premiums depending on farm size and dairy status. The 2024 claims data suggests many farms may still be missing it because overtime records are hard to assemble after the fact. Farm TC tracks your AEOTC eligibility automatically from your timecard data. Not tax advice — confirm eligibility with your CPA.

Oregon's agricultural overtime rules changed January 2025
Oregon now requires overtime pay (1.5x) for agricultural workers after 48 hours per week. In 2027, that drops to 40 hours. Clean time records are no longer optional.
You need to know who worked how many hours, where they worked, and when they took breaks. When BOLI or DOL asks, organized records are the difference between a quick response and a 3-day scramble.
Oregon also offers the AEOTC tax credit (ORS 315.133) to offset overtime costs — up to 100% for dairy farms under 25 FTE. Farm TC tracks your credit automatically.

Common questions
Does this work with spotty cell service?
Yes. The app records punches offline and syncs when signal returns. GPS is captured even without cell service. This is how most farms actually work — your time tracking should handle it.
What's Oregon's current overtime threshold?
As of January 2025, Oregon requires overtime pay after 48 hours/week for agricultural workers (down from 55 in 2024). It drops to 40 hours in 2027 under HB 4002. Farm TimeCard shows the 48-hour line on your dashboard so you see who's getting close before payroll.
What counts as a Monthly Active Employee?
A unique employee with at least one time event in the billing month. You only pay for workers who actually clock in. All plans include 5 workers, with per-employee pricing that scales by tier.
Do you guarantee compliance or audit outcomes?
No. Farm TimeCard helps organize records and flag potential issues. We give you tools, not guarantees. Requirements change and vary by operation. Confirm your obligations with a qualified advisor.
Can I use this for seasonal crews?
Yes. Monthly pricing matches seasonal peaks because you only pay for active workers each month. When crews go home, your bill falls back with your lower active-worker count instead of staying locked at peak-season usage.
Do you support Spanish?
Yes. The mobile app works in English and Spanish. Messages from managers are auto-translated. Your crew can clock in, take breaks, and report incidents in their language.
What about the Oregon AEOTC tax credit?
The Agricultural Employer Overtime Tax Credit (ORS 315.133) can offset a percentage of your overtime costs. In 2024 Oregon DOR claims data, $5.1M of the $55M cap was claimed. Farm TimeCard tracks AEOTC eligibility from time records and helps organize the data you will still need to review with your CPA.
No pressure. If it's not a fit, he'll say so.
